About Stephen Tillett
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Stephen A. Tillett learned the value of faith, hard work, and integrity from his parents. He’s a proud graduate of St. John’s College High School, earned his degree in Government from American University, and his Master of Divinity from Howard University School of Divinity.
For more than two decades, Stephen has led Asbury Broadneck United Methodist Church in Annapolis, building bridges across faiths, neighborhoods, and generations. Beyond the pulpit, Stephen has been a leading advocate for equity, education, and opportunity for all — serving as President of the Anne Arundel County NAACP, Clergy Co-Chair of Anne Arundel Connecting Together (ACT), and Tri-Chair of the Maryland Poor People’s Campaign. His work continues to bring communities together to create solutions that uplift every resident of District 32.
